every cat
starts in
a box.
Mint a sealed box on Starknet. Observe it, and a block nobody can predict decides what is inside: alive or dead, 50/50. Dead cats bounce: any cat burns for an equal share of the vault. The floor is code. The mint runs for 48 hours, then the boxes close forever.
how it works
Pay STRK, get a sealed box. 50% of the price goes into the vault.
Commit to opening. The hash of the next block decides alive or dead + traits. It does not exist yet when you commit, so nobody can game it.
~11 blocks later the cat is real: art and traits rendered by the contract itself. Or keep the box sealed. Sealed boxes trade too.
Once the mint ends, burn any cat for vault ÷ live cats. Or list it on the built-in market. Every sale feeds the vault.
the vault
floor = vault ÷ live cats. Bouncing pays exactly that and burns the cat, so the floor for everyone left never drops. It only goes up: 2.5% of every market sale and any royalty paid by outside marketplaces land in the vault. The owner's withdraw is capped at the treasury share; there is no function that moves vault STRK anywhere except back to a bouncing holder.
my cats
Connect a Starknet wallet (Ready or Braavos) to see your boxes.
market
Built into the contract: no approvals to list, settles in STRK. Every sale sends 2.5% to the vault, so trading raises everyone's floor (5% total fee, paid by the seller).
Nothing listed yet. List a cat from “my cats”: one click, no approval.
traits
Weights are fixed in the contract. Odds below are per observed cat.
faq
can the team rug the vault?
No. The contract keeps two buckets. withdraw() can only take the treasury share and reverts above it. The vault has one exit: bounce, paid to the holder who burns a cat. The contract is not upgradeable.
how long is the mint?
48 hours from the moment it opens, enforced by the contract. When the clock hits zero the mint closes forever, sold out or not, and nobody can reopen it. Whatever got minted is the whole collection.
why does bounce wait for the mint to end?
If you could bounce while the mint is open, a rising floor could make "mint, then bounce" a free lunch that drains holders. Bounce opens at sellout or when the 48h window runs out, whichever comes first.
is the 50/50 really random?
Observing records the current block. The cat is decided by the hash of the block after that, mixed with the token id. That hash does not exist when you commit, and you cannot undo an observation.
where is the art?
In the contract. token_uri builds the SVG and metadata on every call. No IPFS, no server, nothing to go offline.
what is a sealed box worth?
Whatever someone pays. Sealed boxes can be listed, sold and bounced like cats. Some people never look.
which wallets?
Any Starknet wallet: Ready (formerly Argent X) or Braavos. Gas on Starknet is paid in STRK, so keep a little extra.
